Born and bred in Shanghai and now living in Melbourne, Doris is an experienced marketing and PR practitioner with over 15 years' experience in Australia and China among various industries including cultural events, travel, sports, fashion, beauty, auto, hospitality, property and FMCG. She was awarded B&T‘s People’s Choice Award 2018 for Women in Media, and nominated B&T’s Entrepreneur of the Year 2020 for Women in Media.
Before co-founding How Communications, Doris led a Chinese marketing and communications team in a Melbourne-based marketing agency delivering strategy and content for including Virgin Australia, UGG, Parks Victoria, MINI, Blackmores, endota Spa, Mirvac, Coach, SK-II and Hermès. She has also led Chinese community engagement campaigns for major events including Australian Open, Melbourne Cup, Formula 1 Australia and Royal Melbourne Show. Prior to this role, Doris managed a series of high profile Sino-Australian business events and helped Chinese corporations such as Alibaba and Tencent to launch their services into Australia.
Before moving to Australia, Doris worked as a PR and marketing practitioner in Shanghai helping international brands communicate to Chinese consumers. Intercontinental Hotel Group, Accor Hotel Group, Crown, Turkish Airlines, Procter & Gamble, McDonald's, Disney Princess, Guinness, Montblanc, Abercrombie & Fitch, Ted Baker were among her client portfolio.
Doris holds a Masters degree in Global Media Communications from The University of Melbourne, a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Fudan University, and a CIM Diploma in Digital Marketing.
